Escrow and title

Accepted offers open a file with Insured Aircraft Title Service (IATS) in Oklahoma City. Deposits, title search, and closing funds stay with that escrow vendor. AirplaneHelicopter brokers the airframe. We do not hold buyer funds in-house.

What the file covers

  • Earnest-money deposit held until conditions are met
  • FAA title search and lien check
  • Bill of sale and registration documents
  • Release of funds at closing

Closing path

    Offer accepted

    Broker confirms terms with both parties in writing.

    Deposit in escrow

    Funds sit with Insured Aircraft Title Service. The owner does not receive them yet.

    Logbook review

    Digitized records go to the buyer through the brokerage desk.

    Pre-purchase inspection

    An approved Part 145 shop completes the PPI.

  5. 5

    Title search cleared

    Liens and registration are checked before closing.

  6. 6

    Closing / funds transfer

    Escrow releases funds when title and delivery conditions are met.

Owners start with a representation request. Active files are tracked on the brokerage staff desk.
